BUTTERY BLONDES
At the end of summer 2023, I noticed a big change in clients and their need for cool ashy blondes – the ones that reach for the purple shampoo at every given chance. This was the start of the buttery blonde and it’s going to be huge this year.
‘BUTTERY’, ‘CREAMY’ and ‘GOLDEN’ are the words you want to use to describe these bright, more flattering tones. Lighter skin tones will suit the buttery tones best whereas darker skin and more lived-in blondes work best with the creamer golden tones.
CARAMEL BALAYAGE
This trend is perfect for clients wanting a more natural result and works great on all skin tones. Soft caramel tones on a lighter base will add movement and shine to the hair. On darker hair colours, think dark chocolate with bright caramel highlights throughout, which makes for a great contrast. This colour works beautifully on curly hair too. Just make sure you ask your stylist for a root shadow to ensure a perfect blend from root to tip.”
